| I was thinking about what my favourite album/EP releases of this year were yesterday and I just felt like making a thread!
Ok, here are my favourites:
Ill System: International Assassins (EP) Upper Room: Other People's Problems The Fratellis: Costello Music Panel: Command Box Street Scenario
The album I think is the best of the year is
Audioslave- Revelations

| Upper Room - Other People's Problems Boy Kill Boy - Civilian The Fratellis - Costello Music ....there are just too many to think about at the moment.
Although they weren't released this year, I've really got into Blue Skies and Broken Hearts... and End Is Forever by The Ataris this year, I've had the records for years but never really listened to them.

| hmm... *scratches head*
I agree with Costello Music. it's a shame about the whole Chelsea Dagger overhype thing but it can't take away anything from the fact that it's a great album. Hit The Lights - This Is A Stick Up... Don't Make It A Murder is one of the most fun, refreshing pop punk albums i've ever heard. Heavens - Patent Pending is just pure, chilled out amazing. The Fray - How To Save A Life again, a stunning, beautiful album.

| Not to keen on Heavens album, but gotta agree on The Fray.
What annoys me about Costello Music is that they remixed Creepin' Up The Backstairs and the single version was 10 times better.
Thought of another actually Eskimo Joe - Black Fingernails, Red Wine.

| i didn't buy the single so i don't know the difference, and i actually don't have the proper album version (i got it acoustic instead, which is AWESOME). i much prefer the Vince demo, not keen on the album version. i guess when you're used to a demo though, it takes some getting used to an album version.
i'm absolutely obsessed with Matt Skiba's voice, so, you know... haha.

| The lyrics are pretty cool as well on Heavens a bit darker the Alkaline Trio stuff.
I only downloaded Creepin' Up The Backstairs off iTunes, I don't do singles either, however I did buy the 4 formats for £4 of the new LMT single, just so I could get the Ltd edition vinyl.

| i can't wait to get paid tomorrow so i can actually get that damn single. maybe several copies. they're still top 20 at the moment! early alk3 is pretty dark, in fact even some up to crimson is dark-ish, heavens is almost sinister type dark though, sinister but beautiful. It's a very odd combination. oh, and i missed one... hundred reasons - kill your own. i love, love, LOVE this band, and this album is freaking amazing. they just get better. | |

| HOTS cracking album forgot about that. Isn't the JDB album called "The Great Western" and I've got to be honest I thought it was shit. Vega 4 is quite good too, Snow Patrol is a brilliant album. Didn't know Air Traffic's album had been released yet Kim will be on in a minute wondering why no one has mentioned the Panic! album :p | |

| I was gonna go see them at Warwick Uni on the 28th Uni, but decided to go to see Boy Kill Boy there a week later.
The album is a bit samey, but You & Me and Traffic Jam really stand out.

| Just been watching MTV2 and they P!ATD were doing the takeover thing and they chose Electric 6...what strange taste in music they have. Having said that they just chose Saves The Day so that has redeem them slightly. | |
