| with all the cat hating going on in the random chat thread I think we ought to find out the forums stance on the awsome creatures. | |

I nearly ran one over the other day, it ran out in front of me so naturally I accelerated but it got out of the way just in time.

| They have no tail, how is that a good thing?
I was thinking the other day how strange it is, on TUR there's someone who used to live here and then also on the LMT forum there is someone who used to go to my primary school, only they were 4 or 5 years older than me.
When did you leave the Island anyway Kim?

| um... ages ago. like... 12 years, ha. but i can remember it, and i've been back since. there's no way i could handle the lack of bands. by that i mean bands that aren't local. i know i love p! and all, but if i lived on the island, there's no way i'd ever see p! perform again, being poor and all. | |

Most local bands are pretty godo though, some very very good. Plus we do have quite a few proper bands coming over too. Graham Coxon and Snow Patrol in the last couple of months.

| Yeah I know what you mean. Well when I go to Uni I can have 3 years of being at gigs every night. I've got a tracking number now, so I'm just waiting for those rejections to roll in :p I posted this in the Other Bands forum too, but sense we are talking about local bands, check out www.myspace.com/uberroom they are immense live! | |

| haha, you will. at least, of the waiting around through shit support acts, which most of them are. obviously the main act is always going to be good. i'd never get sick of that. but queuing/support acts... bored. to the point where it almost puts you off gigs sometimes.. and you'd be surprised, i saw TUR... no idea how many times but a lot.. never got boring.. heh. Cord got boring after about 3.2 seconds though... | |

| The bit about support acts is true. At the LMT gig (sorry I keep going on about it, but it's the only proper gig (except Stereophonics at NIA) that I've been to) we got there stupidly early like half 8 and the first act came on at 9 played two songs, and walked off, I spent the next 30mins weighing up who the second act would be, and got a bit excited because there was a Jim Beam poster with TUR on. However I did notice that the plasma screens had a picture of the Motorettes on and then got quite excited because they are fantastic! It really does defeat the point of having warm-up acts if you are going to have to wait another 45 minutes to see the main act. | |
